Marzotto costruisce a Valdagno una città d’impresa: case, scuole, teatro, ospedale, campo sportivo. Per due generazioni la capacità economica della valle è prodotta dentro un perimetro privato, e nessun atto pubblico la duplica. Quando il perimetro si ritira, la valle non torna allo stato precedente: resta con un patrimonio di edifici e una popolazione formata, e senza lo strumento che li teneva insieme.

Marzotto builds a company town at Valdagno: housing, schools, a theatre, a hospital, a sports ground. For two generations the valley’s economic capability is produced inside a private perimeter, and no public act duplicates it. When the perimeter withdraws, the valley does not return to its prior state: it is left with a stock of buildings and a trained population, and without the instrument that held them together.

Il rilievo in corso verifica due cose. Primo: dove sia andata l’occupazione dentro la valle. Secondo: se esista uno strumento che vincoli i sei comuni fra loro, e con quale rimedio per chi ne è escluso.

The visit in session tests two things. First: where employment has gone inside the valley. Second: whether any instrument binds the six comuni to one another, and with what remedy for those it excludes.
